WELCOME TO SPEECHLALI!
Helping children become effective communicators through evidence-based speech therapy
speechlali
pronounced "speech-lolly"

an abbreviation for speech, language, and literacy.
SPEECH
Helping children express themselves clearly.
I provide treatment for speech sound disorders, including articulation and phonological disorders, childhood apraxia of speech, and stuttering/stammering. I can help your child produce age appropriate speech sounds, learn motor plans for speech production, and increase their overall intelligibility, or ability to be understood by others.
LANGUAGE
Supporting all forms of communication.
I am intentional about getting to know your child and using their strengths and interests to facilitate language development. I work on receptive skills (understanding language) and expressive skills (using language) through motivating, play activities.
LITERACY
Providing intervention for written language difficulties.
Spoken language and written language go hand-in-hand. They build on each other to result in general language and literacy competence. I can help your child develop reading and writing skills by teaching them about sounds, grammar, and the structure of words, sentences, and texts.
MEET MISS MEGAN
Megan Peyron, MS-SLP MNLL
Owner, Speech-Language Pathologist
Hi, I'm Megan! I was born and raised in New York State and moved to Norway in 2019. One year later, I founded my private speech therapy practice. I love my work and am passionate about sharing my knowledge and expertise to help others improve their communication skills.
I earned my bachelor's degree in Speech and Hearing Science with a minor in Education from the State University of New York at Buffalo and master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from the State University of New York at New Paltz. My education is approved by the Norwegian National Body for Quality in Education (NOKUT) and I am a member of Norsk Logopedlag. I have an agreement for coverage through the Norwegian Health Economics Administration (Helfo).

My clients and their families appreciate the warmth, professional integrity, and open communication that define my practice. It's a privilege to serve the international community in Oslo by providing quality treatment through responsible assessment and client-centered care.

In addition to providing direct speech therapy services, I am an author on TeachersPayTeachers, where I channel my passion for speech therapy into creating and selling engaging resources for fellow speech-language pathologists, educators, and parents. My storefront offers a variety of tools designed to enhance communication in fun and effective ways.

Outside of my professional life, I cherish my role as a mother to a spirited toddler. My personal journey of raising a multilingual child provides me with insight into the unique challenges and rewards of multilingual language development and enriches my approach in my practice.

Does my child need to be referred by a doctor? If your child qualifies for coverage through Helfo, a doctor's referral must be provided before treatment can start. However, your child does not need a doctor’s referral if you choose to self-pay. This option may be for you if you are seeking services for accent reduction/English language learning without medical necessity or if your child is already receiving speech therapy elsewhere and you would like me to provide supplemental services.
